Day 3: Triathlon! 2.5 miles (Total: 11.6)

Temp: 87; Humidity 59%
Pace: 8:58
Weight: 173

Took the Vitus out for a ride this morning with Susan and Chris from work. We started at Clark Park near my house, and went into Fairmount Park via West River Drive, past the Philadelphia Museum of Art, Boathouse Row, across the Falls Bridge and up Forbidden Drive to the Valley Green Inn. It is a very scenic ride along Wissahickon Creek and past a Revolutionary War battlefield. All told about 18-20 miles round trip. We took it pretty easy; Chris had his 5-year-old daughter Ava in a bike seat, and Forbidden Drive is hilly and unpaved. Talked to Chris about possible running the 11-mile loop to Falls Bridge on the morning of the 4th next Friday.

Afterwards, my legs were warmed up and didn't seem sore at all. Took a short run around noon - very easy around Clark Park and the University of the Sciences near home. Wanted to make up the mile I missed yesterday, while not trying not to aggravate the wear and tear on my legs this week.

Went to the pool and swam 1 mile (1800 yards.)

Think I will take tomorrow off and try to be healed up and rested for Monday.
