10.01 miles
1:15:20
7:31 pace
26 degrees
Much colder today - low twenties at 6:00 this morning biking in to work, and the thin running gloves were not warm enough on the bike. Almost decided to put off running until tomorrow, when it is going to break 50 degrees, but I already took the weekend off.
Felt pretty good - pace felt just moderate, but it turned out to be about as fast as I've ever run a ten miler. Wore my Nike headband/ear warmer for the first time, but took off the gloves at the halfway mark. Was marginally comfortable with my light, long sleeve EMS shirt over a cotton tee.
Glad I decided to run; now I won't be scared the next time it's in the twenties. It doesn't get much colder than this in Philadelphia. I think there are usually only a handful of days when it doesn't make it into the mid 20s. Back when I had the bike commute to East Falls, I would take the bus whenever it was below 20 degrees. I can probably get away with making that my running test as well.

I could never get very good times when it was cold. It seems like I felt kind of stiff.
