11.18 miles

Originally planned to run 6 miles this morning, but Chris was home with a sick kid, and I am taking a few days off, so decided to go a little farther.
Saw a big heron in a marshy section of water between the Art Museum and Boathouse Row. It must have been about three feet tall and was very picturesque. Wish I had taken my phone and gotten a photo.
Will rest for a couple of days and run again on Thursday or Friday. Legs and left foot were starting to get achey again today after all the long runs, so this break is coming at a good time.

Hey Murray! We had a heron at the pond on the farm this summer. It was an odd experience. I woke up with the feeling that something was different. I got out of bed and approached the window. I didn't see anything but thought I heard the flapping of big wings. I dismissed it as my imagination. Some minutes later I approached the window in the "sewing room" and saw the huge heron at the pond. Mike and I watched for a few minutes, then it "winged" off. Hope your running continues to improve. Quite amazing, Murray. I know any advice I would give you to take it easier would go unheeded because you are hooked. I feel like I am paying for some of my younger physical excesses but who knows.
That heron must have feasted with all your frogs. Maybe s/he will be back.
